Mint Hill Self Storage - Connie Long

Does anyone with parking not rent to people storing junk/project cars that do not have title or insurance?

We don't rent to anyone unless it is an enclosed trailer, RV or fifth wheel so far as parking is concerned. There are no "regualr" passenger vehicles or open trailers allowed. Further more ALL parking tenants must so proof of insurance and title to park here as well as take my insurance policy we offer.

We don't want to look like a junk yard and definitely don't want oils and antifreeze leaking on the property. I also want to be certain we're not storing somebody's stolen property. If they abandon it you end up with a big expense and a lot of headache to get rid of it. I prefer the shinny new boats and RV's.

I would be careful what you allow in your outside parking spaces. Make sure they have a valid registration, or title on the vehicle. We also require that it is in "rubeing conditon", so you don't get someone bringing a junk car on a tow truck. We also require they have vehicle insurance, because NO storage insurance is going to cover an outside parking space. Hope that helps.

That's "running condition". Not sure why my auto correct put that word in.

After several bad experiences we stopped renting car and truck spaces completely.Any gain will be offset when one unit goes south! Good Luck
