Southeastern Self Storage Convention & Tradeshow Deemed a Success
More than 200 self storage professionals congregated in Wilmington, N.C., on Oct. 12-14, for the 3rd Annual Southeastern Self Storage Convention & Tradeshow. Attendees experienced a weekend filled with networking with other owner/operators and vendors, attending educational sessions and learning about the latest industry services and products from the 25 exhibiting companies.
Dave Benson, President of Morningstar Properties, presented “Storage and the Great Recession: How did we do and where do we go from here?” during the keynote luncheon. Other sessions included SSA President Mike Scanlon’s presentation on “The Challenges That Lie Directly Ahead for the Self Storage Industry,” an overview of the newly revised NC Lien Law, as well as topics that included surviving natural disasters, choosing the right manager and using technology to benefit your facility.
